Should jws drive cars!!!
by haujobbz ini was thinking about the time when i asked an elder about this because he said i had to give up smoking to become baptised, and i said that it doesnt specify in the bible that you cant smoke,he then said it defiles the flesh and that our bodies are a sacrifice to god i was puzzled because our flesh is already corrupted by sin, bacteria, pollution, etc.
he then said god will bring to ruin all those ruining the earth but think about it so does driving cars ruin the earth,he then said that gods will couldnt be accomplished worldwide without transport.but the disciples didnt use transport that polluted the earth and they managed ok,so im now thinkin how can a world wide preaching work be accomplished without ruining the earth today, well we have got the net, phones, mmm i let you all decide

Should JWs drive cars? Certainly NOT.
JWs avoid blood transplants precisely because they are dangerous to their health
I know of an entire car-load of JWs who were killed while in field service. A train hit their car at a crossing.
Come to think of it, not only are cars bad for the health of a JW, but FS is right up there too.

You can be sure that the bills will be sent to the father (one "alternative" care facility in California charges $8,000.00 per week so he will be recognized for his headship in that aspect of this matter).
Lets hope that the mother informs the father of the whereabouts of the body and allows him to attend the funeral. He will have little say in the arrangements for that funeral, even if he is allowed to attend. He will surely be shunned if he does attend; He will be blamed by many of his former "friends" for her death because he was instrumental in getting blood transplants administered to her. Blood kills, You Know.

Dubs Would be Totally Lost.........
by Farkel inthe topic of this thread is mostly directed towards jehovah's witnesses who still have some ability to think.
this topic is important to those jws who may have some doubts about their religion, no matter how small they might be.. i'm going to make perhaps, a rather startling assertion and instead of presenting all of my arguments for it, will invite others to contribute their own arguments.
if a person was to ask a number of jehovah's witnesses what was the single most important part of their religion, a variety of answers would be given, and without question, all of them would be wrong.. to put it another way, if one had the power to take away just one thing from the watchtower religion that would render it impotent and foundering like a beached whale, what would that one thing be?.

When I was fading away and almost gone I decided to attend a meeting at one last CO visit, just to confirm my decision. The COs PT started out condemning "the world" for its "making of many books."
I could hardly believe that he had the nerve to make such an accusation in the face of all the books and pamphlets produced by the corporation he represented.
That hypocrisy was the final straw that confirmed for me that their message was a bunch of baloney. That CO made me ashamed that I had associated with this printing corporation for so many years.
Thanks for your insightful observations, Farkel.

Watchtower praises disfellowshipping-Media
by Dogpatch inthis media video just released by the watchtower to counter what they are doing in disfellowshipping all the whistleblowers is disgusting.
smarmy robert pevy of the writing staff is a total pinhead, and rodney stark is such a joke he makes disfellowshipping out to me a laughing matter!.

What Are They Really Saying Now?
by Englishman ini must confess, i am intrigued as to how panorama has affected the jw's who watched it.
my old pal, mr dub-in-the-pub, just shook his head miserably over his guinness after denying having seen it.
now he wants to borrow the video recording i made.

Jan, I worked in 'field service" back in the 60s with a CO that often used the word "church" to describe the place to which he was inviting the householder the next Sunday. He was more fun to work with than many COs, or elders for that matter.

Sheikh Omar Defiant After Pearl Death Sentence
Mon Jul 15, 6:06 AM ET
By Imran Maqbool
HYDERABAD, Pakistan (Reuters) - A court in Pakistan sentenced British-born Islamic militant Sheikh Omar to death Monday for the kidnap and murder of U.S. reporter Daniel Pearl, drawing a threat of vengeance and calls for Muslims to respond.
Omar, full name Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh, and three accomplices convicted along with him showed no emotion as each verdict and sentence was read at the end of closed-door trial. The court jailed the accomplices for life.
But the fury was evident as relatives and lawyers spoke outside the court.
Omar's lawyer, Rai Bashir, who told reporters the defense would appeal, read out a message from his client saying that anyone who tried to carry out the death sentence risked a similar fate.
"I will see whether who wants to kill me will first kill me or get himself killed," Omar, 28, said in his message.
"I have been saying before, this entire (trial) is just waste of time...
It is a decisive war between Islam and kafir (infidels) and everyone is individually proving on which side he is."
